Restaurant

'Via Veneto' was founded in 1994 and distinguishes itself above all by its outstanding menu and wine list. The gourmet restaurant's highlight, the truffles from restaurant-owned woods, are of highest quality. The guests are enchanted by the beautiful ambience and the owners' hospitality. But this is not all that speaks for 'Via Veneto's' high quality level. After a long shopping day on Maximilian Street, Munich's precious promenade, our restaurant is the right place to relax and regain energy enjoying a cup of cappuccino or espresso.

The restaurant is actually named after Frederico Fellini's masterpiece 'La Dolce Vita'. In this film the 'Via Veneto' in Rome plays a crucial role. The restaurant logo contains a picture of Anita Eckberg, the female protagonist opposite Marcello Mastroianni. Furthermore the fountain in 'Via Veneto’s' backyard is based on Rome's Trevi fountain – and there is the world-famous scene in the film, where Anita Eckberg is taking a bath in this Trevi fountain. 14 years ago Maximilian Street was by far not as bustling as it is nowadays. By opening 'Via Veneto' restaurant, the flair of Rome's precious shopping mile was to be transferred to Munich. The revival of luxury and glamour on Maximilian Street has been the greatest desire of Aurelio Tomarelli, the restaurant owner. When the Italian gourmet restaurant was opened, Marcello Mastroianni and Anita Eckberg were invited to the opening.
